Roy MacGregor,
Manager Fife Young Carers
Hello! I took up the post of manager for Fife Young Carers in April of this year.
I am based in The Roundhouse in Kirkcaldy but really love to get out and about visiting young carers groups around Fife.
As well as providing support to the Fife Young Carers staff I also work closely with our management committee to try and make sure we provide the best services for the young people who need our help and advice.
In 2009, as well as fund raising for new activities, we currently are focussing on the development of our use of volunteers and discussing the creation of the first Young Carers Strategy in Fife.

Denise Spence,
Administrator
Hi! I’m Denise and I'm Fife Young Carers' Administrator, I started here at the beginning of this year and my job is to keep everything running smoothly! Every day is different and sometimes I don’t end up doing the things I’d planned to do for the day!
I’m usually the first person you’ll hear on the phone, I work Monday to Friday from 10 am - 2pm (you can leave a message out with these hours).
See
the top of this the page for contact details.

Kay Templeman,
Senior Support Worker, Glenrothes & Levenmouth
I have been a Support Worker for Young Carers since 2003, starting with only about 10 children and young people within the Levenmouth area. To date, I cover Levenmouth and Glenrothes, with a very busy bunch of 50 young carers, all ranging from 8 -18yrs!
Being a Senior Support Worker for FYC's is very varied and I enjoy time spent with the children and young people in all aspects.
There are never two days the same but, I wouldn't change that for the world....!
Liz McKinstry,
Senior support worker, Cupar & North East Fife
I have been working for Fife Young Carers since June last year. At the moment I have 9 seniors & 13 juniors. I organise group sessions, holiday events & trips, as well as visiting young carers in their homes, providing 1 to 1 support and helping their families to find benefits & services.
Last month we went to the New Star restaurant in Cupar to celebrate Chinese New Year, where we had a delicious meal.
I'm looking forward to the spring & summer evenings when we can go outside to the beach & Tentsmuir forest for walks/picnics/BBQs.
Nina Collins,
Information & Liaison Worker.
I came into post in October last year and will be raising Young Carers' awareness in schools and other agencies in Fife. I will also be involved in developing a training programme for young carers.
Have you got news for me?...... want to share your experiences or achievements then let us know,
our newsletter will be published 4 times a year.
Rose Davis,
Senior Support Worker ,West Fife & Kirkcaldy
Hi, I have been working for FYC for the last 5 years, previous to this I worked with groups of Young Carers as a Youth Worker.
I run groups in Inverkeithing and Kirkcaldy, where the young people can have time just to be themselves, have a laugh and not have to think about their responsibility's at home.
This also gives them time with peers who understand and can relate to any issues they may have around caring.I love the job I do, I get lots of positive feedback from the young people and their parents, it makes it all worthwhile.
